Jimy – Black Motorcycle Boots in Hand-Distressed Kabir Leather

Jimy men's leather motorcycle boots are designed for touring, recreational and urban motorcycle riding. They share the same base construction as the Blake and Ryan models, but stand apart through the type of leather and the way its surface is finished.

The approximately 16 cm high upper is made entirely from natural bovine Kabir leather. Its surface is distressed by hand, giving the black leather irregular tonal variation, lighter worn-looking areas and a subtly aged character.

Hand-distressed Kabir leather

The most distinctive feature of Jimy is the leather finish. The black surface is intentionally not perfectly flat or uniform. Hand finishing creates tonal transitions and visual depth, giving the boots a stronger vintage character.

Variations in shade, irregular coloration and local distressed areas are an intentional part of the finish, not a material defect. Because the surface is finished by hand, individual pairs may differ slightly in the distribution and intensity of these effects.

For motorcycle riding and everyday use

Jimy combines a strong motorcycle-inspired appearance with a form suitable for normal use away from the bike. The model is particularly suited to touring, recreational and urban riding where a journey may also involve stops, walking, sightseeing or everyday activities.

It is not positioned as a heavy, rigid track boot. Its construction combines motorcycle-oriented details with a shape that can also be worn normally after getting off the motorcycle.

Leather gear-shift panel

An additional leather panel is positioned at the front of the upper where the boot repeatedly contacts the motorcycle gear lever during shifting. It creates an extra layer of leather between the lever and the main upper while also reinforcing the technical, motorcycle-inspired appearance of the model.

Lacing and side zip

Full lacing allows the fit to be adjusted around the instep and midfoot, while the side zip makes the boots easier to put on and remove without fully unlacing them each time.

Metal eyelets and upper lacing hardware, visible stitching and the multi-panel leather construction give Jimy a strong and distinctive silhouette.

Leather heel strap with metal buckle

The leather strap running around the rear of the boot is primarily a styling detail. It emphasizes the heel line and, together with the metal buckle, zip and layered upper construction, reinforces the motorcycle, military-inspired and workwear character of the model.

Cap-toe detail

The distinctive cap-toe seam visually separates the front section of the boot and adds more structure to the design. It is one of the details referencing classic leather boots.

TR sole with multidirectional tread

The sole is made from TR thermoplastic rubber and features a pronounced multidirectional tread pattern. The front of the sole is approximately 1.5 cm thick, while the rear section measures approximately 3 cm. The sole is attached to the upper using a cemented construction.

Leather interior and fit

The lining and insole surface are made from natural leather. The model has a standard width, standard instep volume and a standard amount of space in the forefoot.

Jimy fits slightly larger than standard sizing, so we recommend measuring your foot carefully and comparing its length with the size chart before ordering.

How to style Jimy boots

The hand-distressed black leather and metal details work particularly well with biker, vintage, rugged, military-inspired and workwear styling. Jimy pairs naturally with straight or slightly tapered jeans, cargo trousers, overshirts, field jackets, leather jackets, chunky knitwear and heavier coats.

Handmade in Poland

Every pair of Jimy boots is handmade in our workshop in Poland after the order is placed. Standard production and preparation time before dispatch is 3–5 business days.

Materials & construction
Upper Full leather upper

Natural cowhide leather

The upper is made entirely from natural cowhide leather. The leather type, surface finish and recommended care profile vary by model.

Leather Hand-distressed Kabir leather

Natural bovine grain Kabir leather with a hand-distressed finish. The process creates irregular shading, tonal transitions and localized worn-looking effects that give the surface a distinctive vintage character. Because the finish is applied by hand, each pair may vary slightly in the placement and intensity of the shading.

Variations in shade, irregular tonal transitions, localized distressed marks and subtle differences between individual pairs are intentional characteristics of the hand-finished Kabir leather, not material defects. With wear, the appearance of the surface may continue to evolve, especially at flex points and areas of friction.

Lining & insole Leather lining and leather-covered insole

The lining and the top surface of the insole are made from natural pigskin leather. This keeps the foot in direct contact with a natural material and reflects the construction standard of traditionally crafted leather footwear.

Outsole TR sole 1.5/3 cm with multidirectional tread

Black outsole made from TR (thermoplastic rubber), with a standard profile and a pronounced multidirectional tread. The outsole is approximately 1.5 cm thick at the forefoot and approximately 3 cm high at the heel. This type of outsole is used primarily on ankle boots and motorcycle- or military-style footwear. It is also used on selected low-cut shoe designs. The outsole is cemented to the upper using technical footwear adhesives after the bonding surfaces have been properly prepared and the correct pressure applied.

Care
Before first wear

Before first wear, Kabir leather can be protected with a gentle product suitable for natural, hand-finished smooth leather. Apply it to a clean, dry surface according to the manufacturer's instructions. Always test any product on an inconspicuous area first, as it may alter the colour, sheen or visibility of the hand-distressed finish.

Cleaning

Remove dust and dry dirt with a soft brush or a gentle, dry cloth. Clean without strong pressure or repeatedly rubbing one area, so as not to alter the hand-applied shading. For light soiling, use a well-wrung, slightly damp cloth locally, then allow the leather to dry naturally.

Regular care

When the leather begins to look dry, apply a very small amount of a neutral product suitable for delicate, hand-finished smooth leather. Apply a thin layer without vigorous rubbing. Always test it on an inconspicuous area first, as the product may alter the contrast and character of the hand finish.

Moisture protection

To protect Kabir leather, use a gentle protector suitable for natural, hand-finished smooth leather. Apply a thin, even layer to a clean and completely dry surface. The treatment can help reduce moisture and dirt absorption, but it does not make the footwear completely waterproof.

After getting wet

Gently blot away surface moisture with a dry, absorbent cloth without vigorous rubbing. Insert clean paper or shoe trees and allow the footwear to dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources and strong sunlight. Once dry, assess the appearance of the leather before applying another care product.

What to avoid

Avoid aggressive scrubbing, stiff brushes, strongly pigmented polishes, heavy waxes and excessive amounts of greasy products. Do not use household detergents, petrol, solvents, acetone, degreasers or technical chemicals. Strong products can cover the hand-applied shading and permanently alter the character of Kabir leather.

Styling
Biker: jeans, leather jacket and heavier layers

Leather boots with a motorcycle-inspired biker character work especially well with straight or slightly tapered jeans, a leather jacket, a simple T-shirt, chunky knitwear and a heavier coat. Black, charcoal, dark denim and natural leather reinforce the strong silhouette and highlight metal and construction details. The result is a confident, masculine everyday look inspired by classic biker style that also works well in more rugged outfits.

Military-inspired: cargo trousers, denim and field jacket

Leather boots and ankle boots inspired by military aesthetics work naturally with cargo trousers, straight jeans, chinos, overshirts and field jackets. Black, brown, khaki, olive and charcoal pair well with denim, canvas, leather and wool. Simple cuts, heavier fabrics and utilitarian details reinforce the rugged, confident silhouette without turning the outfit into full military styling.

Workwear: denim, overshirt and heavyweight fabrics

Workwear-inspired leather boots pair naturally with straight jeans, heavyweight cotton trousers, cargo trousers, overshirts, work jackets, chunky sweaters and heavier coats. Denim, canvas, natural leather, wool and textured fabrics reinforce the utilitarian aesthetic and highlight visible construction details. Brown, black, khaki, olive and navy create a natural palette for classic workwear and rugged outfits.

Urban: jeans, T-shirt and lightweight jacket

Urban leather footwear is easy to combine with straight or slightly tapered jeans, chinos, a plain T-shirt, sweatshirt, overshirt and lightweight jacket. It is a versatile base for everyday outfits built around simple cuts and neutral colors. Black, charcoal, navy and brown work well with denim, cotton and natural leather, so the footwear can be styled in both relaxed casual and cleaner city looks.

Vintage / rugged: denim, leather and natural fabrics

Leather boots with a vintage and rugged character work especially well with raw denim, straight jeans, cargo trousers, overshirts, field jackets, leather jackets, chunky knitwear and heavier coats. Denim, leather, canvas, wool and heavyweight cotton highlight natural texture, stitching, distressed finishes and distinctive construction details. Black, charcoal, navy, khaki and muted earth tones create a cohesive base for rugged outfits inspired by vintage, workwear and motorcycle aesthetics.

FAQ

Najczęściej zadawane pytania o model Jimy

What type of motorcycle riding is this model designed for?

This model is designed for touring, recreational and urban motorcycle riding. It combines the functional character of motorcycle footwear with the comfort needed off the bike, making it suitable for longer rides, stops, sightseeing and everyday commuting. It is aimed at riders looking for leather motorcycle boots they can ride in and comfortably walk in afterward, rather than heavy, rigid track boots.

What is the leather gear-shift panel on the front of the boot for?

The additional leather panel is positioned exactly where the boot repeatedly contacts the motorcycle gear lever during shifting. It creates an extra layer of leather between the gear lever and the main upper, so the area exposed to repeated contact is better suited to this type of use. It is a functional detail of the motorcycle-oriented construction that also gives the model a more technical, distinctive look.

What is the difference between Blake, Jimy and Ryan, and which leather is used in each model?

Blake, Jimy and Ryan are based on the same core construction of men's leather motorcycle boots. They share a similar silhouette and intended use, so the main difference between them is the type of natural leather and the way its surface is finished. This is what gives each version its distinctive texture, appearance and character.

Blake – natural Crazy Horse leather
Blake is made from black Crazy Horse cowhide leather with a waxed pull-up finish. The surface has a more rugged, natural texture and can develop lighter marks, local scuffs and a gradual patina as the leather bends and ages. This gives every pair more individual character over time. Blake is the right choice for riders looking for classic black leather motorcycle boots with a raw, rugged appearance.

Jimy – natural Kabir leather with a vintage finish
Jimy uses Kabir leather finished to create a stronger vintage effect. The black surface features tonal variation, distressed areas and hand-finished shading that adds visual depth and makes each pair slightly individual. Of the three models, Jimy has the most distinctive, expressive and deliberately aged appearance.

Ryan – natural Crust leather with a smooth black finish
Ryan is made from Crust leather finished in a clean, uniform black. Compared with the pull-up character of Blake and the vintage shading of Jimy, its surface looks smoother, calmer and more consistent. Ryan is the most understated, classic and minimalist version of the three.

Which one should you choose? Choose Blake for a natural pull-up effect and developing patina, Jimy for a stronger vintage look with hand-finished tonal variation, or Ryan if you prefer smooth, clean and uniform black leather.

What is Kabir leather like, and are rubbed areas and variations in colour natural?

The Kabir leather used in this style is genuine smooth cowhide with a hand-rubbed finish. Irregular shading, locally rubbed areas and tonal transitions are intentional elements of the vintage effect, not material defects. Because the finish is applied by hand, individual pairs may vary slightly in the placement and intensity of the shading. With wear, the appearance of the leather may gradually change in areas of flexing and friction.

How should hand-distressed Kabir leather be cared for?

Remove dust and dry dirt with a soft brush or a delicate dry cloth, without rubbing the surface aggressively. For light marks, use a well-wrung, slightly damp cloth only on the affected area. For protection and conditioning, choose gentle products intended for natural, hand-finished grain leather and always test them first on an inconspicuous area. Avoid vigorous scrubbing, strongly pigmented polishes, heavy waxes and excessive oily products, as they can alter the character of the hand-distressed finish.

Is this type of leather waterproof?

No. A suitable protective treatment can reduce the absorption of moisture and dirt, but it does not make the leather fully waterproof. Hand-finished leather should not be soaked for prolonged periods or rubbed hard while wet. If the boots get wet, allow them to dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources.

Why does this model have both laces and a side zip?

They serve different purposes. The laces let you fine-tune the fit across the instep and midfoot, while the side zip makes the boots quick to put on and take off without fully unlacing them each time. The combination also shapes the look: the lacing, metal eyelets and zip give the boot a stronger, more distinctive silhouette and reinforce its rugged, masculine character. Instead of looking like a plain, smooth ankle boot, the model has greater visual presence and more personality.

How does this style fit?

This style runs slightly large. Before choosing a size, check the insole lengths in the size guide and compare them with the insole length of shoes that fit you well. Do not compare the insole length directly with your foot length, as the insole needs to include the extra room required for a proper fit. If you are between two sizes, the smaller size will usually be the better choice.

Is this style suitable for wide feet?

This style has a standard width, with standard room over the instep and in the forefoot. It is not specifically designed for wide feet. The size guide lists insole lengths and cannot be used to assess the width of the boots. If your feet are noticeably wide, the fit will depend on their individual shape.

Does natural leather need breaking in?

Natural leather may feel slightly firmer at first. With wear, it gradually adapts in areas of flex and pressure. Breaking in will not, however, correct insufficient shoe length or an incorrectly chosen size.

How is the sole with multidirectional tread constructed?

The sole is made from TR, or thermoplastic rubber. It has a pronounced multidirectional tread. The sole is approximately 1.5 cm thick at the front and about 3 cm high at the rear. The sole is bonded to the upper.

Is the inside of the boots made from natural leather?

Yes. The lining and the surface of the insole are made from natural leather, in accordance with this model’s material specification.

Is this model suitable for everyday wear?

Yes. This model is also designed for regular everyday wear. Its versatile shape works well with jeans, chinos and other casual outfits. The exact styling options depend on the design and construction details of the individual model.

Are the boots handcrafted in Poland?

Yes. Every pair is handcrafted in our workshop in Poland using traditional shoemaking methods.

How long does it take to prepare the shoes for dispatch?

Each pair is handcrafted after the order is placed. Standard production and preparation time before dispatch is 3–5 business days. This does not include the carrier’s delivery time.
