Aston: black men's leather cowboy boots with elastic side panels

Aston is a pair of black cowboy boots for men that combines western and biker styling with a Chelsea pull on construction. Elastic panels at both sides of the shaft, a leather strap with a metal ring, rivets and a pronounced treaded outsole give this model a bold urban character.

Crazy Horse leather with a pull up effect

The main part of the shaft, approximately 13 cm high, is made from natural Crazy Horse cowhide leather. Its waxed pull up finish can develop lighter marks, local colour variations and subtle scuffs as the leather bends and is worn.

Over time, the leather develops a natural patina. These are characteristic features of Crazy Horse leather, not material defects. Their intensity depends on wear, care and the individual section of leather.

Pull on construction with elastic side panels

Aston is a pull on model. Elastic inserts on both sides of the shaft make the boots easier to put on and take off without lacing. They are a characteristic element of Chelsea construction and contrast with the stronger western line of the model.

Pull tabs at the top edge of the shaft assist when putting the boots on. The model has a standard width, standard instep space and standard room at the front of the shoe.

Leather strap with a metal ring

A leather strap wraps around the shaft and is joined to a metal ring and rivets. It is primarily a styling detail that reinforces the western and biker character of the model.

The strap does not adjust the fit. The pull on construction and elastic side panels are responsible for easy wear.

Thermoplastic rubber outsole

The black outsole has a pronounced multidirectional tread. It is approximately 1.5 cm thick at the front and approximately 3 cm high at the rear. The outsole is cemented to the upper.

The tread reinforces the practical character of the model. It does not claim certified protective properties or suitability for motorcycle riding.

Leather interior and choosing the right size

The lining and the surface of the insole are made from natural pig leather. The model runs slightly large. Before choosing a size, compare the insole length with an insole from shoes that fit you well.

If you are between two sizes, the smaller size will usually be the better choice. Natural leather may need a short break in period, but it will not correct an unsuitable length or width.

How to style Aston cowboy boots

Natural cowhide leather

The upper is made entirely from natural cowhide leather. The leather type, surface finish and recommended care profile vary by model.

Leather Crazy Horse leather

Natural bovine grain Crazy Horse leather with a waxed pull-up finish. Its defining characteristics are natural tonal variation and lighter marks that appear as the leather flexes and is worn. The surface has a distinctive, slightly rugged appearance and gradually develops an individual patina.

Lighter marks at flex points, changes in shade, local scuffs and a patina that develops over time are natural characteristics of Crazy Horse leather and its waxed pull-up finish. They are not material defects. The surface evolves with wear, so each pair can gradually develop its own individual appearance.

Lining & insole Leather lining and leather-covered insole

The lining and the top surface of the insole are made from natural pigskin leather. This keeps the foot in direct contact with a natural material and reflects the construction standard of traditionally crafted leather footwear.

Outsole TR sole 1.5/3 cm with multidirectional tread

Black outsole made from TR (thermoplastic rubber), with a standard profile and a pronounced multidirectional tread. The outsole is approximately 1.5 cm thick at the forefoot and approximately 3 cm high at the heel. This type of outsole is used primarily on ankle boots and motorcycle- or military-style footwear. It is also used on selected low-cut shoe designs. The outsole is cemented to the upper using technical footwear adhesives after the bonding surfaces have been properly prepared and the correct pressure applied.

Care
Before first wear

Before first wear, the footwear can be protected with a product suitable for Crazy Horse, waxed or oiled leather. Apply the product to a clean, dry surface according to the manufacturer's instructions. First test it on an inconspicuous area, as even a colourless product may darken the leather or alter the visibility of the characteristic pull-up effect.

Cleaning

Remove dust, sand and dry dirt with a soft brush or a clean, dry cloth. For light soiling, use a well-wrung, slightly damp cloth only on the affected area. Do not soak the entire leather surface or scrub it aggressively.

Regular care

When the leather begins to look dry, apply a small amount of colourless product intended for Crazy Horse, waxed or oiled leather. Apply it in a thin, even layer without over-conditioning. Care may slightly darken the surface and reduce the visibility of lighter marks characteristic of the pull-up effect.

Moisture protection

For protection against everyday moisture, use a product suitable for Crazy Horse, waxed or oiled leather. The treatment helps reduce moisture and dirt absorption but does not make the footwear completely waterproof. Avoid prolonged contact between the leather and water.

After getting wet

Blot away surface moisture with a dry, absorbent cloth. Insert clean paper or shoe trees to help the footwear retain its shape. Let the shoes dry naturally at room temperature, away from radiators, fireplaces, hairdryers and direct sunlight. Once fully dry, the leather can be protected again with a suitable product if its condition requires it.

What to avoid

Avoid heavily covering coloured polishes, harsh detergents, large amounts of water and intensive scrubbing. Do not use petrol, solvents, acetone, degreasers or technical chemicals. Excessive amounts of grease, oil or wax can significantly darken the leather and alter the characteristic pull-up effect.

Styling
Western: denim, leather and coat

Western-inspired leather boots and cowboy boots pair naturally with straight jeans, denim shirts, plain T-shirts, leather jackets, chunky knitwear and longer coats. Natural materials, visible leather texture and denim emphasize the characteristic boot silhouette without requiring a full western outfit. Brown, black, navy and muted earth tones work especially well with leather, suede, denim and wool.

Biker: jeans, leather jacket and heavier layers
