Bruce: black leather motorcycle boots for men with a side zipper

Bruce is a pair of black leather motorcycle boots for men with a distinctive biker inspired silhouette. The raised shaft, side zipper, front leather panel, riveted harness strap and pronounced tread create a model with a bold, functional character.

Hand finished Crust leather

The approximately 16 cm shaft is made entirely from natural Crust cowhide leather. The leather is hand dyed, finished in stages, then brushed and polished to bring out the depth of black and a controlled surface sheen.

Individual leather sections and finished pairs may vary slightly in colour intensity, sheen and tonal transitions. Natural creases and patina can appear with wear. These are characteristics of hand finished leather, not material defects.

Side zipper for easier on and off

The zipper at the side of the shaft opens the boot wider, making it easier to put on and take off. Bruce has no laces, so the zipper is the main feature that supports everyday use.

The model has a standard width, standard instep room and standard space in the toe area.

Gear shift panel and cap toe stitching

An additional leather panel is placed at the front of the upper, in the area that comes into contact with the motorcycle gear lever. It is a functional detail characteristic of footwear with a motorcycle character.

Cap toe stitching visually separates the front of the boot and highlights the line of the rounded toe. It does not indicate a metal or protective toe cap.

Riveted leather harness strap with a black buckle

The fixed leather harness strap is secured with rivets on both sides of the rear part of the shaft. It wraps around the heel and runs along the outer side of the boot. The black buckle and rivets emphasise the motorcycle inspired, rugged character of Bruce. This detail is decorative and does not adjust the fit.

Thermoplastic rubber outsole

The black outsole has a pronounced multidirectional tread. It is approximately 1.5 cm thick at the forefoot and approximately 3 cm high at the heel. The outsole is cemented to the upper.

The tread reinforces the functional character of the model. No claim is made that this model has certified protective properties or complies with a specific motorcycle standard.

Leather interior and choosing your size

The lining and insole surface are made from natural pig leather. The model runs slightly large. Before choosing your size, compare the insole length with an insole from footwear that fits you well.

If you are between sizes, the smaller size is usually the better choice. Natural leather may need a short break in period, but this will not correct an unsuitable length or width.

How to style Bruce boots

Bruce works best with motorcycle, urban and rugged outfits. Wear them with straight jeans, dark denim, cargo trousers or heavier cotton fabrics.

A leather jacket, bomber jacket, overshirt, heavier knit or longer coat work well with the raised shaft, black hardware and pronounced outsole. This is not a model for formal or typical smart casual outfits.

Caring for hand finished Crust leather

Remove dust and dry dirt with a soft brush or a clean, dry cloth. For light marks, use a well wrung, slightly damp cloth only on the affected area. Do not soak the entire leather surface.

Use gentle, colourless products suitable for hand finished smooth leather. Always test a product in a discreet area first, as it can change the colour or sheen. Waterproofing products can help limit moisture absorption but do not make the boots fully waterproof.

Upper Full leather upper

Natural cowhide leather

The upper is made entirely from natural cowhide leather. The leather type, surface finish and recommended care profile vary by model.

Leather Hand-finished Crust leather

Natural bovine grain Crust leather intended for hand dyeing and multi-stage finishing. The way color is applied, followed by brushing and polishing, allows the depth of color and surface character to be controlled — from a smoother, more uniform appearance to more pronounced tonal transitions. The hand-finishing process gives the leather an individual character and allows the final effect to be tailored to each footwear model.

Because Crust is a natural material that is dyed and finished by hand, individual sections of leather and finished pairs may show subtle differences in color intensity, sheen and surface appearance. Natural creasing and a gradually developing patina can appear with wear. The character and visibility of these changes also depend on the finish used for the specific model.

Lining & insole Leather lining and leather-covered insole

The lining and the top surface of the insole are made from natural pigskin leather. This keeps the foot in direct contact with a natural material and reflects the construction standard of traditionally crafted leather footwear.

Outsole TR sole 1.5/3 cm with multidirectional tread

Black outsole made from TR (thermoplastic rubber), with a standard profile and a pronounced multidirectional tread. The outsole is approximately 1.5 cm thick at the forefoot and approximately 3 cm high at the heel. This type of outsole is used primarily on ankle boots and motorcycle- or military-style footwear. It is also used on selected low-cut shoe designs. The outsole is cemented to the upper using technical footwear adhesives after the bonding surfaces have been properly prepared and the correct pressure applied.

Care
Before first wear

Before first wear, you can apply a gentle protector suitable for natural, hand-finished smooth leather. Apply it to a clean, dry surface according to the manufacturer's instructions. Test every product first on an inconspicuous area, as even a colourless product may alter the shade, sheen or visibility of tonal transitions.

Cleaning

Remove dust and dry dirt with a soft brush or a gentle, dry cloth. Clean the surface without strong pressure or repeatedly rubbing one area. For light soiling, use a well-wrung, slightly damp cloth locally. Do not soak the entire leather surface.

Regular care

When the leather begins to look dry, apply a small amount of a neutral product suitable for delicate, hand-finished smooth leather. Apply a very thin layer without vigorous rubbing. Do not condition more often than the leather requires, as excess product can alter the depth of colour, sheen or character of the hand finish.

Moisture protection

For protection, use a gentle product suitable for natural, hand-finished smooth leather. Apply it to clean and completely dry footwear according to the manufacturer's instructions. Protection helps reduce moisture and dirt absorption but does not protect the leather from prolonged soaking.

After getting wet

Gently blot surface moisture with a dry, absorbent cloth. Do not rub wet leather aggressively, as its hand-applied finish may be more susceptible to changes in appearance. Insert clean paper or shoe trees and allow the footwear to dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources. Wait until the leather is completely dry before applying another care product.

What to avoid

Avoid strongly pigmented polishes, harsh detergents, large amounts of greasy products, intensive polishing and prolonged contact with water. Do not use petrol, solvents, acetone, technical alcohol, degreasers or workshop chemicals. An unsuitable product can permanently alter the colour, sheen and character of the hand-finished leather.

Styling
Biker: jeans, leather jacket and heavier layers

Leather boots with a motorcycle-inspired biker character work especially well with straight or slightly tapered jeans, a leather jacket, a simple T-shirt, chunky knitwear and a heavier coat. Black, charcoal, dark denim and natural leather reinforce the strong silhouette and highlight metal and construction details.
