Casual Black – men's leather ankle boots with a distinctive biker-inspired character

Casual is a pair of black leather ankle boots with a strong, masculine silhouette. The higher upper, approximately 16 cm tall, side zip, leather straps with metal details and defined stitching at the front give the design a character inspired by biker, military and contemporary urban style.

The entire upper is made from natural cowhide leather. This model uses hand-finished Crust leather, with colour built up gradually through several finishing stages. The leather is hand-dyed, layered, brushed and polished, giving the black surface greater depth than a completely uniform factory finish.

Character built through detail

Casual is not a plain, minimalist ankle boot. Its identity comes from the leather straps, metal elements, higher upper and clearly defined construction lines. At the same time, the overall design remains balanced enough to work beyond strictly biker or military-inspired outfits.

The side zip makes the boots easier to put on and take off. The design does not rely on traditional front lacing, allowing the front of the upper to retain a cleaner, more continuous line.

Hand-finished Crust leather

Hand dyeing and layered finishing mean that individual areas of the leather may show subtle differences in colour intensity and sheen. Small tonal variations and slight irregularities in the finish are a natural result of the hand-finishing process, not a material defect.

With wear, natural leather may gradually develop its own patina. Areas exposed to flexing and friction can subtly change in tone over time, allowing the surface to develop a more individual character.

TR sole with multidirectional tread

Casual is built on a black sole made from TR thermoplastic rubber. It features a pronounced multidirectional tread and a clearly defined rear section. The sole is approximately 1.5 cm thick at the front and around 3 cm high at the rear. It is bonded to the upper.

From biker style to everyday urban outfits

Casual works naturally with straight or slightly tapered jeans, leather jackets, heavier knitwear and structured coats. For a more military-inspired look, it can be paired with cargo trousers, chinos, overshirts or field jackets.

The model can also work in more refined combinations with dark chinos, straight tailored trousers, shirts, knitwear or coats. Its stronger character therefore does not limit it to one particular style.

Upper Full leather upper

Natural cowhide leather

The upper is made entirely from natural cowhide leather. The leather type, surface finish and recommended care profile vary by model.

Leather Hand-finished crust leather

Cowhide crust leather selected for hand dyeing and multi-stage finishing. This process creates deep, layered colour and richer tonal transitions than a uniform factory-applied finish.

Differences in colour intensity, tonal transitions and subtle variations in the finish are part of the hand-finishing process. The leather may gradually develop an individual patina.

Lining & insole Leather lining and leather-covered insole

The lining and the top surface of the insole are made from natural pigskin leather. This keeps the foot in direct contact with a natural material and reflects the construction standard of traditionally crafted leather footwear.

Outsole TR sole 1.5/3 cm with multidirectional tread

Black sole made from TR thermoplastic rubber, with a standard profile and pronounced multidirectional tread. The sole measures approximately 1.5 cm at the forefoot and 3 cm at the heel. It is used for lace-up boots and selected motorcycle- and military-inspired styles. The sole is cemented to the upper using technical footwear adhesives after the bonding surfaces have been properly prepared and pressed.

Care
Before first wear

Apply a gentle protector suitable for natural and hand-finished smooth leather. Test the product on a hidden area first. Even a colourless spray or cream may darken the leather, alter its sheen or reduce the contrast created by the layered finish.

Cleaning

Remove dust and dry dirt with a soft brush or a clean, dry cloth. Clean gently and avoid repeatedly rubbing one area. Where necessary, use a well-wrung, slightly damp cloth locally. Do not soak the entire upper.

Regular care

Use a small amount of neutral conditioner formulated for delicate natural leather. Apply a very thin layer without intensive rubbing. Condition only when the leather begins to feel dry, as excessive cream can flatten the layered colour effect.

Moisture protection

Use a light spray protector suitable for natural and hand-finished leather. Apply it only to clean, completely dry footwear. The treatment helps reduce moisture and dirt absorption but does not protect the leather against prolonged soaking.

After getting wet

Blot away moisture with a dry, absorbent cloth. Avoid rubbing the leather while wet, as the finish may be more vulnerable to changes in colour. Insert shoe trees or clean paper and allow the shoes to dry naturally at room temperature. Check the colour after drying before applying any conditioning product.

What to avoid

Avoid strongly pigmented polish, harsh detergents, heavy greasy products, excessive water and aggressive polishing. Do not use petrol, solvents, acetone, technical alcohol or workshop chemicals. An unsuitable product can permanently alter the hand-applied colour and finish.

Biker: jeans and a leather jacket

Biker-style leather boots pair well with straight or slightly tapered jeans, a leather jacket, chunky knitwear and a heavier overcoat. They work especially well in bold, masculine outfits built around black, charcoal, denim, leather and strongly textured fabrics.
