Chad – Men's Black Distressed Leather Motorcycle Boots with Rear Lacing

Chad men's leather motorcycle boots have a distinctive silhouette inspired by biker and military styling. Black Kabir leather with a hand-distressed finish, additional lacing at the back of the shaft, warm-toned metal hardware and a leather buckle strap give the boots a rugged vintage character.

The model is designed for touring, recreational and urban motorcycle riding. It also works well when walking and during stops, so it can be worn as distinctive everyday footwear.

Genuine Kabir Leather with a Hand-Distressed Finish

The approximately 16 cm high shaft is made entirely from genuine smooth cowhide Kabir leather. Selected areas are rubbed and finished by hand, creating irregular shading, tonal transitions and a locally aged effect.

The placement of lighter areas and the intensity of the distressed finish may vary slightly between individual pairs. This is an intentional result of the handmade finishing process, not a material defect. With wear, the appearance of the leather may continue to change, particularly in areas of flexing and friction.

Front Lacing and Two Side Zips

The front lacing lets you adjust the fit over the instep and around the midfoot. Two side zips open up the shaft, making the boots easier to put on and take off without fully unlacing them each time.

An exposed metal zip is positioned on the outer side, while a black zip is used on the inner side. Metal eyelets, upper lacing hardware and visible stitching highlight the multi-panel construction of the boots.

Additional Rear Lacing

One of Chad's most distinctive features is the lacing running along the back of the shaft. Its main role is stylistic: it breaks up the leather surface and makes the boots instantly recognisable from behind.

Leather Strap with a Metal Buckle

A leather strap wraps around the back of the boot and accentuates the heel line. The buckle and warm, slightly aged metal hardware contrast with the black Kabir leather and reinforce the motorcycle-inspired vintage character.

The strap is primarily a design detail. The front lacing provides the main fit adjustment, while the side zips make the boots easier to put on and take off.

Leather Gear-Shift Panel and Cap-Toe Seam

An additional leather panel is positioned in the area that comes into contact with the gear lever. It creates another layer of leather between the lever and the main upper while emphasising the functional character of the model.

A cap-toe seam visually defines the front of the boot and references the construction of classic leather lace-up boots.

TR Sole with a Multidirectional Tread

The black sole is made from TR thermoplastic rubber and features a defined multidirectional tread. It is approximately 1.5 cm thick at the front and approximately 3 cm high at the rear. The sole is bonded to the upper using cemented construction.

Leather Interior and Fit

The lining and insole surface are made from genuine leather. Chad has a standard width, standard room over the instep and standard space in the forefoot.

This model runs slightly large. Before ordering, check the insole lengths in the size guide and compare them with the insole of shoes that fit you well. If you are between two sizes, the smaller size will usually be the better choice.

Natural leather may initially require a short break-in period, but this cannot compensate for choosing the wrong length or width.

How to Care for Kabir Leather

Remove dust and dry dirt with a soft brush or a clean, dry cloth. For light marks, use a well-wrung, slightly damp cloth only on the affected area.

Choose gentle products intended for hand-finished smooth leather and always test them on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid vigorous scrubbing, aggressive cleaners, heavily pigmented polishes, heavy waxes and excessive amounts of oily products, as these may alter the appearance of the hand-distressed finish.

How to Style Black Chad Boots

Black Chad boots in Kabir leather work particularly well with biker, military-inspired, vintage, rugged and workwear looks. Pair them with straight-leg or slightly tapered jeans, raw denim, cargo trousers, an overshirt, field jacket or leather jacket.

Natural cowhide leather

The upper is made entirely from natural cowhide leather. The leather type, surface finish and recommended care profile vary by model.

Leather Hand-distressed Kabir leather

Natural bovine grain Kabir leather with a hand-distressed finish. The process creates irregular shading, tonal transitions and localized worn-looking effects that give the surface a distinctive vintage character. Because the finish is applied by hand, each pair may vary slightly in the placement and intensity of the shading.

Variations in shade, irregular tonal transitions, localized distressed marks and subtle differences between individual pairs are intentional characteristics of the hand-finished Kabir leather, not material defects. With wear, the appearance of the surface may continue to evolve, especially at flex points and areas of friction.

Lining & insole Leather lining and leather-covered insole

The lining and the top surface of the insole are made from natural pigskin leather. This keeps the foot in direct contact with a natural material and reflects the construction standard of traditionally crafted leather footwear.

Outsole TR sole 1.5/3 cm with multidirectional tread

Black outsole made from TR (thermoplastic rubber), with a standard profile and a pronounced multidirectional tread. The outsole is approximately 1.5 cm thick at the forefoot and approximately 3 cm high at the heel. This type of outsole is used primarily on ankle boots and motorcycle- or military-style footwear. It is also used on selected low-cut shoe designs. The outsole is cemented to the upper using technical footwear adhesives after the bonding surfaces have been properly prepared and the correct pressure applied.

Care

Before first wear

Before first wear, Kabir leather can be protected with a gentle product suitable for natural, hand-finished smooth leather. Apply it to a clean, dry surface according to the manufacturer's instructions. Always test any product on an inconspicuous area first, as it may alter the colour, sheen or visibility of the hand-distressed finish.

Cleaning

Remove dust and dry dirt with a soft brush or a gentle, dry cloth. Clean without strong pressure or repeatedly rubbing one area, so as not to alter the hand-applied shading. For light soiling, use a well-wrung, slightly damp cloth locally, then allow the leather to dry naturally.

Regular care

When the leather begins to look dry, apply a very small amount of a neutral product suitable for delicate, hand-finished smooth leather. Apply a thin layer without vigorous rubbing. Always test it on an inconspicuous area first, as the product may alter the contrast and character of the hand finish.

Moisture protection

To protect Kabir leather, use a gentle protector suitable for natural, hand-finished smooth leather. Apply a thin, even layer to a clean and completely dry surface. The treatment can help reduce moisture and dirt absorption, but it does not make the footwear completely waterproof.

After getting wet

Gently blot away surface moisture with a dry, absorbent cloth without vigorous rubbing. Insert clean paper or shoe trees and allow the footwear to dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources and strong sunlight. Once dry, assess the appearance of the leather before applying another care product.

What to avoid

Avoid aggressive scrubbing, stiff brushes, strongly pigmented polishes, heavy waxes and excessive amounts of greasy products. Do not use household detergents, petrol, solvents, acetone, degreasers or technical chemicals. Strong products can cover the hand-applied shading and permanently alter the character of Kabir leather.
